Hopefully porsche can pull it out the bag. 200kgs more than the p1 but that monster torque figure for the porka! On paper for a track car I fancy the ferrari with less weight than the other two. Fingers crossed im wrong, we will find out later. when the green for drops the bullsh*t stops!

I think one thing is for sure, if they've all done laps of the top gear track they've all sent teams to "maintain" the cars so every car should be in full Banzai mode.

This being effectively home turf for the McLaren though, you'd have to expect it to spank the other 2. They'll have it dialled in perfectly.

snatched from top gears site...As you'll see from our exclusive behind-the-scenes gallery, recorded at rehearsals and filming for Episode 5, the LaFerrari joins the P1 and 918 on our studio floor. This isn't, we must make clear, the occasion upon which all three hypercars will settle the ‘who's fastest' dispute once and for all with a lap of our test track - though Jeremy's right now trying to make that happen - but it does give the boys a chance to have a proper barney about which they prefer.

looks like we won't get to find out any time soon.

I want them to take 918 and LaF around Wales to see if they are any good at rounding sheep, that would be great!!

Did they ever test the 991 GT3?

they will NOT be doing timed laps of the track this episode.

Unfortunately that is still being worked on and will probably still air as originally promised, as a special.

Just making that clear since it was buried in one of the above posts.

Can't believe that the buyer of a million pound Ferrari would be intimidated by threats that they couldn't have another?

Think Clarkson made that up?

Surely demand for these limited edition Ferraris is far more than supply, so Ferrari could easily stop people accessing certain new cars (directly).

So Gents, here is where we are.

The numbers have become SO important, that last 0.1sec is SO important, that two of the biggest supercar makers wont allow their cars to be timed.

Its time for everybody to grow up. 2015 and its still about whos got the biggest dick.

Sounds like maclaren will only take part on a track their computer calculates will make them win, Ferrari will only take part if they can supply a 'standard' car from the factory along with 200 technicians so they will win.. I suspect to most people it just makes them look a bit pathetic.

It's a tight twisty track with so much power all these cars have the 4wd is a huge advantage and ofc porsche know that why would they object.

Shows how important these manufactures think the pr of totally arbitrary tp lap time is....strange world

Oh, dont worry, I know exactly what Top Gear is, but it doesnt stop me hoping for a car show!

I am old enough to remember old TG and Chris Goffey pulling a Diesel Range Rover to pieces! It was ground breaking stuff and caused an absolute st storm.

I still believe that there is a huge gaping hole, just waiting for a new car show. Even the new Classic Car show is dreadful.

As all three cars are sold out, does it really matter who wins! It can't be for the next one, because that will be years away and it's as good as a reboot with everything starting from scratch. No one is talking about the F1, C GT or Enzo, because they were the previous cars! Rightly so.
Makes Ferrari and McLaren look like Dicks.

You'd think it would be relatively easy to keep the identity of the owner secret from Ferrari...assuming you haven't gone for an individual paint job.

Won't there be all sorts of data recorders that will reveal all, the next time the car has a service..?!
