This weekend seems to have heralded an unprecedent volume of road traffic activity in Glasgow. Anyone else felt this way? Is there some kind of crackdown on motorists in force?
Since Thursday the number of marked and unmarked vehicles pulling stops in the city centre, M8 and M80 has been astonishing. Driving out to Stirling on Saturday and Sunday mornings I saw no less than 12 stops and twice spotted a marked car with a speed gun doing fantastic 'business' on the 50mph stretch of the M80 just passed Robroston turn off.
That sneaky grey Shogun is such a stealth weapon.
Can anyone say why so much activity this week?

Because motorists are an easy target and zero-tolerance enforcement makes the populace love the police even more.

One of these may not be true.
