The walnut trim in my DB9 has held up very well, but there's now a hairline crack in the satnav cover. It's quite minor, but it's definitely a very fine crack in the surface, not a scratch. I certainly don't want it to spread, but I'd also like to fix it cosmetically.
Has anyone had any success repairing something like this yourself? If so, would you care to share your technique?
Thanks!

Never tried it or heard of anyone doing it...I think most just replace it....however and good French polisher should be able to carry out the work...

Have a look at astonmartinbits.com; I'd imagine most replace though.

Sourced one from a breakers for £200. Be interesting if it could be repaired as still have the cracked one.

I repaired walnut veneer on a Lotus Elan 2+2 dash, not especially hard although quite involved, had some guidance from a furniture restoration specialist, which made things easier!
We re-glued the veneer to the base, cut back, actually painted the grain in and then polished back up, you'd never know it had been done.
