Air intake pipe

Looking to replace the hose which goes from AFM to filer cone, for no reason other than it looks very tatty. I already have the silicone elbow. Over £100 from ACT which seems expensive. Anyone know of an alternative part? Cheers

Ah but it is bespoke, shaped, two piece and has an alluminium joiner.

You can buy a straight piece of silicone pipe then buy a gentle angle to go though under the light then fit the air filter in that position .

So why hasn't someone come up with a nice shiny nose to AFM hose that looks the part and keeps heat at bay,,
Maybe I should come up with something,,
I've been meaning to change mine but just can't find something that looks the Biz.
Hose in an alley sleeve with an air gap,, something that can be polished but not to OTT.
I like bling in the engine bay,,

Daz, doesn't water penetrate through the filter if driving at high speed in the rain, contradiction in terms I know but hey,,
I'm just wondering if your getting moisture up your intake?
Correct me of I'm wrong!

Ask Chilli ,you can have it further back ,plenty of space .

Using the the straight pipe and the 15 or less degree angle would get you in the right place .

You could have it in black ,blue ,red etc .

Fair point. Must admit I had not realised it was 2 piece etc. Saw the early Griff version on the ACT site and assumed it was the same.

Straight reducer 83-70
Straight reducer 83-76
Straight 83mm dia 100mm long
Straight 83mm dia 50mm long
Alloy pipe 80mm 500mm long
Alloy 45 deg bend 80mm dia
Alloy 90 deg bend 80mm dia
Straight 80mm 50mm long
Should be able to purchase everything for around £80 on eBay
Remember to get the clips to hold it all together

You could be a bit naughty and fit a reducer to the afm and go 90mm all the way to a fat 90mm air filter K&N RX-4140.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've bit the bullet and ordered the ACT kit. So far removing the bonnet to paint the underside has resulted in new bonnet heatshield, alloy rad, hoses, chassis recoated with POR15, flame trap and induction hoses. One thing always leads to about 10 others, part of the appeal really.
