Don't use powerflex, just source OEM replacements.

I went for powerflex black series front and rear with new contis and a wheel alignment. Car is on standard suspension and feels great. Slightly better wheel control with no real detriment to ride quality.

I bought my E46 with 40k miles on and the rear OEM RTABs had ripped themselves to bits and the car was floating all over the road, with horrendous tyre wear.

I put Polyflex PU rear replacements on and they lasted the next 100k miles with no issues.

I do however think that car was a bit harsh where ride quality was concerned, maybe this had something to do with it... although with my high mileage I didn't want to have to replace them all the time, and I was worried about handling safety too.

I tend to think, if PU really is best, why didn't BMW put in PU parts to start with... This was a known problem on the E36 too, which I experienced on my E36. It's interesting to note that on the F10 M5 and F80 M3, they have done away with RTABs and just started bolting the assembly directly to the subframe. An eventual admittance of bad design perhaps?
