Hi guys,

Its my brothers 21st this weekend, and he is really into his footy, especially after going to the Brazil for 5weeks to watch the world cup. So I thought id look into taking him to watch El Classico, but it seems that its going to be atleast £1500 for two normal tickets..

I just wanted to know if this pricing sounds about right, or if im looking in the wrong places... I had initally set a budget of upto £1500 for both flights/hotel/tickets

Thanks
Med

There are more than 2 teams in La Liga. Why not take him to see Atletico (current champions) instead?

If you book a package, then yes it will be 1500ish per person. You could take a chance and go to Barcelona and go to one of the 2 places you can legitimately buy tickets (the stall on Las Ramblas or the ground)
You're unlikely to get tickets as the members all go to El classic so do not give them back for resale.
touts..... The police are around the ground all the time looking for touts when Madrid are playing as they know tickets are in short supply. Other games they are not so bothered.

If Barca win, get to Placa de Catalunya after the game as that is where the Barca fans will go. ALso watch out for the cars with 8 people in them driving around with horns blazing...

(Assumption is that the game is in Barcelona... if not, ignore the above)

El Classico is good, especially at the Bernabau, but the game to see is Dortmund v B Munich or Schalke. Get tickets on the South Terrace. Just fantastic, so much better than El Classico.
