Looking to get Callisto wheels refurbed on an 06 Gallardo Spyder, but seems its not that simple! Just wondering if anyone has done this on these wheels?

Problems i seem to be encountering is that if the 2 piece wheel is taken apart, it is then not suitable for road use again (!) and could fail at high speed. Also heard that if the nuts (i.e. the 20 per wheel) dont come off easily, you cant buy replacements, and its not ideal to re-use existing ones! On the flip of that, seems impossible to mask the bolts off to refurb?

If anyone could shed some light on this it would be great.

Cheers, Mark

The bolts are available, I had all of mine replaced after a refurbishment, should be no problem as long as they are torqued correctly

Based not far from Bath, nearest town is Frome

Where did your replacement bolts come from?

Not speaking from direct experience on those particular wheels, but Platinum in Swindon do all the wheel refurbs for Dick lovett Ferrari/Maser in Swindon, so are better placed to be able to answer any worries you might have than just AN-Other refurbisher
I've seen their work on other cars (inc split rims) and it's to a very high standard. I'd hazard a guess that they could source the bolts for you too
They're not too far from you in Frome (about an hour)
Worth an enquiry if nothing else

Speak with Dan at Dubs Customs, his number is: 07736-592634
He has done mine and countless others and is well known for working on super/hyper cars.
You can not tell mine have been worked on, they are as new and the cost was incredibly fair.
