Got round to fitting the HID's i got from Aus today, passenger side was easy as i've got a OTR filter so no airbox to block the back of the N/S headlamp, drivers side a little more work needed, i got to it by jacking the car up & removing the wheel & loosening the wheel well liner, the car was already fitted with HID's on high beam but normal bulbs on dipped although at some time it had HID's on dipped as the rear cover had a grommet in it with the holes for the leads to the ballast, originally i only ordered the dipped kit from Aus but when i received it and didn't get hit with customs i thought i'd order a high beam kit (missed custom charges again smile ) so i could tidy up the wiring and get rid of the external ballasts

Overall they are very easy kits to fit and they look OEM, the only tip i'd give to anyone fitting the dipped beam kit (H7 bulb) is the connector between the original wiring and ballast wiring is a bit loose, i put a cable tie round them to hold them together smile

Here are a few pics, they don't really show how much brighter they are as it was quite bright when i took them, just need to change the driving & fog bulbs now but not sure if to go for HID's again or LED's

You can do the drivers side high beam from under the bonnet, it's just the dipped one thats a pain wink

proper conversion with proper optics installed or just the old headlamp units.

Old headlamp units are they HID or halogen ?

Went out for a drive last night and tried all different types of road (lit & unlit) and straight away could see a improvement, also tried full beam a couple of times and they do light up the road nicely smile

ps...never got flashed by other drivers either

Going to be fitting mine tomorrow, any pointers, I will have the wheels off to fit front discs and calipers, is it easy to fit them both by removing inner arch ?
