barons have an auction today, started at 1.3, tried to get the video link working...am I missing something here???

Agreed. I was hoping to go there myself but work has got in the way. Hardly anything is selling, very few meeting reserve. That Alfa looked decent, was also interested in the XK8 and the Ghibli (but would've needed a boot-full of brave pills to buy it).
ETA: Ghibli seems to have disappeared. Sure I saw it on the lot list a few days ago.

talking of an XK8, OH has never seen a MGF/TF in the flesh even tho we owned a MGBGT (35 yrs ago) and a MGB (2 yrs ago)....so Saltash had one today for auction and it made 275 quids!! She thought it was small??
On the way out was a VV nice cherry red XKR ragtop...she went all gooey!
Esher/Barons is a heck of a long way for me BUT as the car went for 1900 I WOULD have bought it for that.
She says IF we buy an Alfa it HAS to be red! Have shown her some pix of a Boxster....she like them too.....decisions decisions....have to buy a ragtop soonish b4 the "spring" panic.
