What do Warranties cover?
Discussion
Basically it'll cover mechanical faults and failures of non-servicable parts.
Not wear and tear, not tyres, exhausts etc.
For example, mine covered a failed temperature sensor but not a dodgy connector between spark plug and lead.
Some will cover you for shortfall in insurance claims if you write off a car but don't get enough money to replace it!

Well that depends whether you're buying one or trying to make a warranty claim.
If you're buying one you'll be told that it covers everything, offers complete piece of mind and represents very good value for money.
If you're making a claim you'll be told that the warranty does not that particular defect, or excludes what ever it is that has gone wrong.
Or does that just happen to me?

The used car warranty on Saabs covers Engine, gearbox and turbo only, as I understood it,
With all the electrical gizmos on motors these days, read the small print, very carefully, I know of a Saab cabrio that had roof problems, the only people who could fix it were the dealers, the labour charge was nearly a grand
