Does anyone know anything about this car?
I sent them an email about three months ago, saying i was interested - no reply at all..
Anyone know anything i don't? Are they still in business or are they going the way of so many other low volume british car manufacturers.
Car looks great, and should go like stink. Looks radical enough to be a possible replacement for my esprit in a couple of years..??
I could be wrong here so don't quote me - but the guy who was doing this posted on the lotus British cars bbs a while back
thread was called Farbould - you doubted it at the time
(you can search the archive or ask a regular like DOT or Stephen M to help)
Basically this car is a porsche clone - made in the uk, I think they have never delivered a car - but I did see some launch publicity a while ago - less than six months
Sorry thats all I know
But look at the trident iceni - they have a demonstrator at least !

(in my defence it is a Monday morning!)
Found this on the web though
Farboud, based at Dales Manor Business Park in Sawston, has just put its first car on show at the Autosport International Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
Farboud is the brainchild of Arash Farboud, whose primary business is The Rocaille Group, Europe's largest medical packaging company.
Work on the car started at Sawston in mid-1999 and the car on show at the Autosport event is the first development chassis. It uses a 400bhp Porsche turbo power unit and, during the course of the development work, the 900kg car has recorded 0-100pmph times of well under ten seconds.
Later development will be undertaken with the 500bhp Audi based quad-cam bi-turbo V6.
The works at Sawston has been designed to build up to five cars a month and this will be achieved as the development programme gives way to manufacture through 2003.
Two 500bhp prototype chassis are planned for completion in March and the rationale behind the development is to provide enthusiasts with a very high performance sports car for under £100,000. The first customers' cars will be made in early June for delivery in mid-summer. It is anticipated that ten cars will be built in 2002, with just four being available to the public.
An open prototype will be included among the six planned development cars.
It is likely to be the first car to be fitted with the 500/600bhp engine together with a specially developed "Track Day" pack which is likely to include fully adjustable suspension, competition brakes and so on.
The price of the completed cars going on sale to the public are expected to be in the region of £85,000.
