Wheeler Dealers S2 on again today
Discussion
I actually watched this again recently and one or two things struck me.
I thought that £2500 was cheap for a car with a good chassis but stangely this attribute and its importance was not mentioned at the start but only at the end when selling...I thought the sale price wasn't great but that bit was probably fictitious anyway.
The other thing was that on driving it back Brewer comments on the brakes pulling to one side; later on Ed says that with the new servo the brakes are now perfect BUT the servo change would not cure the brake pull....now when Ed is working on the track rod ends if you look at the brake discs it's obvious they are brand new,and there is also a fleeting glimpse of the calipers and they look new as well,so this work appears to have been edited out of the show!!
I really must get out more and spend less time in front of the telly..

The episode was filmed quite a few years ago and prices have firmed up a bit since then. There is an S down in Truro that has had the chassis done, and the starting price is a mere £2400 on fleabay.
But it does require the body putting back on, and a bit of reassembly work & an MOT.
Mikel003003 on here if you wish to PM him about it.

As Joe asked, I wonder who has the Wheeler Dealers S2? That would be nice to have in the Burghley timeline eh chaps?

Hi
I think we all noticed the brakes and calipers, nothing in the build price, still good to watch even if it is Wheeler Dealers

This has cropped up before....I think we all noticed the brakes and calipers, nothing in the build price, still good to watch even if it is Wheeler Dealers

I think somebody asked Brewer about this at a car show and the amswer was "the new brake parts came with the car (seller never got around to fitting) so were not included in costs"
