Help finding the wife a car

Please help, I am losing the will to live..... Need to find a car for the wife, she currently drives a 54 plate Citroen C2 and it is time for a change.

Budget is £5k and:
1) Must be auto
2) Low tax bracket (she does 2k miles pa and I am loathed to pay big tax)
3) Must be small (may consider bigger if fitted with parking sensors)
4) 2 or 4 doors but must have 4 seats
5) I will hardly ever drive it unless its to put in fuel

I am going screen blind looking at the t'internet and so need some help.

Ideally she would like a Fiat 500 but I have heard the auto boxes are shocking and coming from a sensodrive C2 I want a good gearbox.
Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.
