Replacing the original Becker MDR32 unit in my 996 with another Becker, this time a slightly more modern Traffic Pro. Stupidly thought being the same brand they'd just be plug and play but, when I take the old head unit out, there doesn't seem to be a 'block b' with the speaker cables for me to swap over!

I've got the 'digital sound' option, rubbish as it is, is this the issue? How can I make the bloody thing just work...? Old stereo worked fine.

Thanks!

Im not to hot on the model numbers, but from 2001 I think they used fibre optic cables, and you are in a world of pain if that's you.

Good luck either way.

Check the Connects 2 website, I know they have a kit for your car.

Thing is, it's Becker to Becker, so in theory the same stuff... Will check out that website, thanks. Car is a 1999 so should be ok - I hope! Unit powers on etc but just no b plug for the speakers - I'd assumed it was an amp or something?
