It struck me last night that virtually everything in the world is repeated. From the very simple and obvious to the pretty much subtle...

* Topics on PH seem to get repeated quite regulary with things like "Fog lights", "MOMs", dating, depression, illness... all coming up regulary.

* TV is a constant barage of repeats with very few new documentries.

* Films are re-hashes of old formulae and stories, many remakes and repeats, extensions and similar.

* Musical trends seem to copy each other with a 101 bands sounding like Coldplay/Feeder/Eaves or the same again with the alternative scene with Strokes/Zutons... Even the unpopular pop seems to falling into this sorry trend of sounding the same.

* People tell the same stories over and over again (did you know I went to Egypt last year )

* News stories repeat themselves all the time with this killing, that natural diaster, American president doesn't do this, Tony bLiar does that...

* Historical events seem to be ignored and the problems get to rear their usually ugly heads (see any war in the past 100 odd years).

* People copy each other's fashion sense either in clothing, attitude or vehicle.
...

It appears to me that there is very little that is original in our world, very few opportunities to actually be different anymore and most importantly very few oportunities to stand out from the ever increasing crowd.

Please tell me we aren't all just sheep with a different communication language?

It's because the History Monks have had to repair time after the Glass Clock exploded and have cut & paste stuff all over the place. You're just experiencing some of the joins, that's all.

Haven't you read Terry Pratchett's "Thief of Time"?
