Tapping noise from Boxster S engine

I posted a topic a week or so ago asking if anybody knew what the tapping noise from my engine maybe. It stopped once the car was warm but was always there at cold start up and was a bit worrying.
Good news, an engine flush and oil change and now no noise. Big thank you to Reigate Hill Garage in Reigate Surrey for a quick fix

Sticky tappet then? Sounds like previous owners might have been a bit stingy with oil changes...

I have had it years and took it in for a service last year and the technician told me its every 2 years or 20,000 miles. I had changed oil every 10,000 for years and should have stuck to my usual service pattern as that kept the engine sound even though it get pushed quite hard. Simple fix in the end.
