What with Prince Harry wearing a swastika and the Queen saying that France will get the Olympic bid because the French want it more than the Brits - are the Royal Family real value for money do you think?

The Royals do, after all, receive a fair chunk of my hard earned Taxes.

they do ALL wrong. But I love them. That's what we are supposed to do. Love them, I mean. Every time I go to America I realise why we do!

The Royals, whether you love them or hate them, generate a huge amount of money via tourism for this country. Would people come to the UK to visit the hallowed halls of President Tony Twat and his letter box mouthed other half? Don't think so!

So why not open up all of the castles and palaces to tourists? Could even make Buck House into a themepark with roller coasters and slot machines. Americans might pay £10k per night to sleep in the Queen's bedroom. Maybe courtiers could push tourists around in The Queen Mother's old wheelchair - I'd pay for that! Also, maybe tourists might pay to take the Corgies out for a walk (pooper scoopers could be available for hire). What about trips round London in the Queens's carriage? When you think about it, if we keep the Royal's because of tourism - then let's do it properly.

QUEEN SAYS FRANCE TO GET OLYMPICS

If this is a joke it is not a very funny one.
France has desperately complex economic issues to deal with and has better things to do than fool around with whichever games of any sort.
You Brits keep that one, thank you VERY much.

No, they dont.

The Queen and PTG are the only people on the Civil List.

This means that all other royals get nothing.

The revenue raised from Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace alone provides more taxable revenue for the Government than Madge and PTG get.

So the Royals are nett contributors and if we got rid of them, the country would be a LOT worse off.

That is also ignoring the tourism loss.

God save 'em I say

I should think the Americans would pay a great deal of money to stay at Hotel Buckingham palace and possibly even more for Windsor Castle. Imagine the premium you could charge for arrival by Royal train and the state coach. "Gee honey it was so cool of you to book the queens actual badroom" Get rid of the buggers then we might start making some money.

Good For her!

Let the French have it, in fact let the rest of the world have it. We're just about holding onto a nation right now. This vain-glory attempt at putting us on the world map, will go the same way as the rest of Labour's follies. ...Into the pockets of the hoardes of 'professionals' and 'consultants' and all the other parasites that suck this country from the inside everytime there is a government 'enterprise'.
