Light dimmer switches
Discussion
We have a number of wall lights in our living room on a dimmer and we tend to have them on half brightness most of the time and we get through a lot of bulbs. Am I right in assuming this is because the dimmer pulses the lights to dim them rather than acts as a resistor and therefore reduces the life of the bulbs?
Is there a better type of dimmer than the cheap B&Q one I fitted as the bulb costs are adding up.
Cheers,
Mark

Or have the dimmer up full & fit lower watt bulbs!
