Alternator charging issue on chim 430

Hi,
Can anyone suggest what might be causing the charging light to come on the dash very dull when running, only to go very bright when the heater fan is switched on,putting the lights on has no great affect on the alternator light ,brand new battery which is fully charged and new alternator fitted,
Could it be a bad connection on the z100 amp fuse from/ to the alternator ??, if so where is it located please on my 430 big valve Chim?

on the 430's there isn't a 100 amp fuse fitted, only the later cars had them. mine has a faint glow when ticking over but does go out when revved up or once on the move. could be worth checking all the earthing points.
