This car is currently for sale in the classifieds. Not sure how well the car was repaired after I totalled it but the owner does not seem to be registered here, so I'd like to give any potential purchasers the opportunity to see pics of the car before repair.

Email me if you would like me to send them. I think damage to N/S door area is a little bit of an understatment.

Regards,

Rob

I've removed it until I have clarified the situation.

Hi Rob,

Blimey, I still have the shots - can't believe it wasn't scrapped.

How's things going?

Well don't forget it's perfectly possible to repair these cars properly, a gifted home mechanic can make a proper car out of seemingly non-repairable bits.

I have a friend driving around in a griff that was so badly damaged it broke the bell-housing on the gearbox.

and a cerbera that broke it's back down a ditch is now repaired and on the road and looks stunning, waaaay better than it ever was from the factory.

It could well be a really good car now .. and if priced accordingly could be a bargain for the next owner. I'd certainly never shy away from a bargain repaired car if it was all done nicely

I've also seen some blinking abortions though.

I've no problem with crash repaired cars being advertised but the descriptions must be accurate.

Hi Graham,

Things are going well, thanks. Unfortunately I've just sold my 4.5......just in time for the Cerbera gathering, bugger! I have no plans to go for another TVR at the moment but I'm sure I'll be back at some point in the future.

How about you? are you still working abroad? I thought you had sold the Cerbera? If so, what are you going to take to your Cerbera meet?

Cheers,

Rob

Edited to say: I don't have anything at all against damage repaired cars. I just thought that the description was a little 'lacking'.

If this car has been repaired well then it will be a great car. It was faster than my latest Cerbera and handled 100% better, so much better in fact that it forced me to fit Nitrons to it's replacement. It also never broke down....not like the last one! 8-<

Hi Rob.

Glad to hear things are good but sorry to hear V2 has gone - I'll adjust the register.
Was it sold to a PHer?

What's the replacement plan?

I'm back from abroad, ended up only being 2 months and now I wish I'd not sold
my baby.

What will I take to the Cerbera meet? I was going to ask you for a lift but
seriously....wait and see...

I am sure it will turn up elsewhere and some poor person will believe the spin re hardly any damage. Hard to believe the ad anyhow. £30Ks worth of car had just some door damage and so was a write off. Yeah right!

I've always avoided cars with crash repair damage significant enough to require frame repair.

Never liked the idea of a welds anywhere else then where they should be.

so Joolz - let us know your thoughts on the 'level of challenge' required to fix such damage per the photo evidence.
Cheers!
