Anyone worked in Peru?
Discussion
Bit of a longshot this one but I am off to Peru in May to complete an unpaid student project for my MSc. dissertation. Does anyone have any experience of a similar project of this type as I would love to hear about visa requirements. I am hoping to get away with a standard tourist visa as it is unpaid work and 'just a university project' however I will have to clarify this with the powers that be.
All going well, there is a clear offer of future work following completion of my course in September. Does anyone have any experience of working in Peru? Would be interested to hear about life as a Brit over there as well as pay and cost of living.
I am aware of the extreme variability of living expenses (downtown Lima vs remote Amazon) and the poverty of the country (I visited last year for over a month) but would be great to hear any professional experience.
Cheers
