Lightroom vs Aperture Import Previews

Hi all,

Have finally decided to spring for the Adobe CC subscription as Apple Photo looks like it will in no way be able to replace Aperture. Enjoying the better integration with Photoshop, noise reductions and lens correction however one thing is driving me crazy. The import previews in Lightroom are beyond useless. My Macbook has limited storage space and I would like to be able to do some culling of photos at this stage.

Is there any way to improve the quality of these photos? See screenshot showing difference in quality.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you want the lo-res versions to be higher-res, or do you mean you want to correct the white balance and thump in loads of +EV and a good splosh of contrast?

You need to change the setting for the quality of previews.
