Film - Tale of Two Sisters

Watched it last night.

Possibly scarier than the original Ring and such a better film.

I could feel my heart beating in my chest, girlfriend adopting head-under-the-cushion position for most of it. Truly creepy, a visual feast and some astonishing use of sound. Only suffers from losing its way, plot-wise, towards the end.

Two thumbs up.

I saw a lot of posters for it in Shanghai and Hong Kong last year, always looked interesting. Would like to check it out.

On a similar subject (Extreme Asian Cinema) Got Old Boy (Korean) on dvd recently, I've never seen such a horrific film in all my life. Not just in it's graphic violence, but the story and end twist is just plain horrible. That said it was a pretty amazing film and despite the very nasty subject matter I admit to finding it very thought provoking and like nothing else i've ever seen before, which is rare these days. If you haven't seen it and are a fan of asian cinema then I'd recommend it very highly.
