Ken has been quoted as saying that if his congestion charge doesn't reduce traffic in the first two months, he would consider either raising the charge, or scrapping it altogether. So now we know how to get rid of it - everyone just continue driving into London, and if all goes to plan, you should only have to pay the charge for two months - after that it'll be scrapped. Probably.

Trouble is when the f*****s see how much dosh can be made they will raise it to get more out of the motorists. And waste it to fund all the parasitic people who live off Britain.

HEard today he was thinking of having it at £6 from the outset as well, instead of £5.

I seem to remember hearing that if you have an LPG converted vehicle you are exempt from the charge. So perhaps a small 1 litre gas bottle shouldn't take up too much boot space. If the car is young 1 or 3 years- I cant remember which, you can get a subsidy of a grand or so to pay for it, you could be onto a winner! Even if you paid the full cost of 1500 quid that is only 300 days travelling into london before it is paid for.

Yes - I had a plan. I executed it.

It went something like this:

i) Move out of London
ii) Quit job in London.
iii) Laugh at people still in London

Total success.

I believe the exemption charge refers to zero emmision vehicles such as those powered by electricity which, of course is not zero emmision as the electricity has to be generated somewhere.
