Yes. It's the smallest on the market as far as I am aware. The old Recaro Starts fit but I didn't want a s/h seat of unknown history. Whilst I might be inclined to trust a TVR owner more, I think the head support of the factory child seats looks wholly inadequate for a young child.

The original factory child seats for a cerebra a perfectly adequate. There are better, more modern, alternatives but there is nothing wrong with the original factory seats complete with impact cushion.

If anyone wants one, I have a couple of the old recaro start seats going. They were second hand when I got them, but seem fine. My boy is now 4 so a bit big for them. Located in Beccles, suffolk.

Ok the Jane Monte Carlo looks a little cumbersome and I m unsure of this clipping in thing , plus the bar across the middle , the s/h seats sounds like a bad idea to start with so any other worthy options ?

The Montecarlos do fit. They fit better if you unscrew and remove the sliding Isofix base.

You're probably on to a loser if you those are too big for you and you don't want s/h factory seats. The trend in child seats is towards the ginormous - if there's anything more compact currently on the market than the R1 that isn't simply a high-back booster for larger children I'd be interested to know.

My youngest is 3 now and the eldest 5. Their necks are getting stronger as they grow. A child even a year old, let alone 9 months has very little strength. Their heads are big lolloping masses on top of a matchstick for a neck. The car seat needs to provide that lateral support and they're all quite bulky as a consequence.
