I've heard him sing and play by himself and he is certainly very talented (git)

While Busted was certainly pop tat, you can't blame them. So I get to see the world, have loads groupies, and a decent amount of cash tricky

Sorry I feel strongly about the wholesale deconstruction of the finest art.

I'll have a listen to his new rock band over the weekend before being even more vitriolic on Monday...

But shoving a wheel spanner up your arse sideways is better than Busted...

Thank God they've gone. A mate of mine knows the new band, Fightstar, and has heard them practise. A bit punk, apparently. Will be interesting to see. Reminds me a lot of Take That splitting up. Girls all over the world devastated (like I care...), the talented one gets even more famous and the others disappear into pop obscurity.

Took my young uns to see em before Xmas - we all thought they were actually quite good musicians and a helluva lot better live than "produced up" on CD.

Ho hum

According to my man in the know, Fightstar is Charlies last ditch attempt to be taken seriously as a rock musician as that is what he desperately wants.

Not starting out in a boy band may have been a good move in that particular direction.

Can you imagine Ozzy Osbournes formative years before Sabbath being spent in a boy band?

Thought not.

Right,

because, Robbie Williams, Mickey Dolenz, Paul McCartney etc have all bomed after their first band

So you're citing.

A one trick pony
A member of the first boy band
The boring one from the Beatles

That makes it alright does it, eh?
