Streaming.............

Hi everyone, got a question.
I've finally seen sense and ditched Sky, and now if I watch movies etc I want to connect the laptop to stream them, and connect to the TV...problem is, when I do that via HDMI, I get sound through the TV, but the picture is just the wallpaper from the Lappie....no video. Do I need to change any settings on the laptop/TV or am I missing something really obvious??
Any help appreciated.

It'll be a setting on the laptop.

Have you tried pressing the Windows key + P ? This will switch display modes.

Other than that, have a look in Display Settings and try switching 'Project to a second screen' to Duplicate.

or, if its a modern lappy with Win8, the F4 key should see you right.
