Does anyone know the correct period finish for the fuchs on a UK 1985 Porsche 930?

Currently mine have been refurbished(badly) with satin black centres and a semi polished rim.

i am getting them re refurbished but want them finished correctly.

i have been told the centres should be satin black but with a satin anodised rim (as per RSR) and a polished edge.

the issue seems to be the satin rim, i know the yanks polished theirs(yuk!), can anyone confirm?

The car is black btw.

If a photo of my old car would help, I'm 93% sure this is untouched post-factory (as it was a very low-miler).

Obviously you could have the centres colour-coded, but the rim is the same finish regardless.

They blew the budget on tyres, didn't they?

How does a very low miler end up on £3 tyres?

Owner - works abroad.
Owner's father keeps car in warehouse corner when son is abroad.

IIRC the rear is a very odd size in 245/45/16, so very few tyres available?

Bournemouth OPC looked after it for 'kin years, but this was before non-N-rated tyres guaranteed death, so I imagine the father knows nothing about tyres, and when the OPC quoted him a silly price he had cheap ones fitted for standing in the warehouse corner?

But my crystal-ball is on the blink so I'm not 100% on that.
