Chimaera Heater

Hello,

I cannot get the heater dial on my chimaera 450 to turn all the way to cold. The best I cam get is three quarters of the way so it always pushes out a Bit of heat, any ideas?

You need to check if the water valve is stuck or can actually be closed all the way. It's up in the passenger footwell and is operated by only a thin wire from the heater control. You can un-hook the wire and operate the valve with your thumb for closing / opening.

It may be that the valve is OK and you need to adjust the range of movement of the control on the dash, but that will mean the dash top coming off.

Sounds like the cables that connect to the dials have came loose or got chewed. Dash top off to access and all should become clear.

Any chance you can add a bit more detail regarding accessing the valve, what panels carpet to remove? And the same with how to lift the top dash?

I would check the valve first just look up on the inner wing from the passenger foot well follow the heater pipes and you will find it, might be worth changing I have had two fail, all the information for part numbers and dash removal is on the chimaera pages good luck its a bit of a fidly job
