OK, So last weekend I cleaned the screen of my Samsung F8500 plasma.

I used a spray type screen cleaner and lint free cloth, just as I have used to clean my smaller LED TV, laptop screens etc. The brand is Monster iClean but I can't find the formula / active ingredient anywhere.

However, on the new plasma it left terrible streak marks - which haven't gone away. I'm wondering if its the anti-reflective coating? Is there a screen cleaning solution that is "safe" for this screen?

I use that on our Panasonic plasma, no issues...

...except after wifey has wiped it with polish!

Maybe a couple more goes, see if there's anything on there that shouldn't be

Any window cleaner will be fine tbh.

I just use a clean microfibre and no products. If I was to use something it would be a spray of distilled water.

Try a fine mist of distilled water ( not too much) and gently wipe dry with a microfibres cloth.

It should remove any streak marks from your first cleaning.

Next time only use this technique.

I over egged it cleaning my Panny plasma, which left me with a big glossy patch in the middle - lost anti-glare coating! madbangheadredface So I polished the rest of it off. Loads of horrible reflections now, but at least it's consistent across the whole screen!

Oh well, another 'which new tv' thread coming soon.
