New Car - Fiesta ST
Discussion
They're not a harsh ride at all. Under heavy acceleration on B roads they can get a bit skittish, but it's to be expected.
Motorway speeds (130-140km/h) however, the sound symposer buzzes, and it's annoying.
I'm just about to remove the symposer on my car - Boomba Racing do a small kit that's also sold by Sico Developments in the UK.

Ye compared to my audi which was a lot softer it can be a bit crashy as I live in a city so do a lot of driving around town. The sound imposer I like for the time being, coming from such a quite car nice to have a bit of noise. Getting the mp215 kit fitted tomorrow though from mountune,

Had a good drive of a friends MP215 yesterday, it was a real hoot. Felt like a little rally car, you can hear the dumpvalve with the windows down, it has good low down torque and the engine is responsive, the sound synth is alittle wierd being semi artificial, it sounds good and i can see its appeal for this type of car. Felt very grippy and steering is sharp, you can find the limit really easy which is why i think its so much fun, its like a mini mk1 Focus RS. It can get alittle skittish over b roads but it wouldnt bother me. You do notice the lack of diff in the slower tighter bends but again i could live with that as its still very fast for a supermini.
Things I didnt like so much - Power steering, its very artificial, obviously adjusts to speed, round the car park its very light, but then gets heavier the faster you go but it seems to sap any feel through the steering, Brakes are over assisted so again not much feel through the pedal but Ive found this pretty common on all new cars ive driven, DAB stereo kept cutting out which was Uber annoying when your blasting out full swing

minor annoyances.. seating is still too high (why cant ford get this right?), gearbox isnt the slickest and clutch is alittle bitey.
Other than that i think it looks great in the flesh, the door sills are nice, seats are comfy, and i liked the keyless entry. I am sure you'll enjoy yours, my friend was averaging 30.2mpg when i looked at the clock but its only a few weeks old.
Yea I have been giving it the beans a lot of the time on country roads and a lot of town driving and getting about 30-35. Did a a long drive and got 45 the other day though on one journey. Do agree about the power steering, is very very light in the car park and noticeably different but I again quite like that ha. ( I have my seat as low as it can go but agree it could be lower too ) Good fun little car though, only got 300 miles on the clock so far
