Hoping you can help me identify this...



Found it in my garage today. (Not sure why the pic has loaded at that angle)

That's a wing mirror stand - the mirror would attach to the point on the far left in your photo....

Thanks! That makes a bit more sense. Must've been in the garage at my mums for at least 40 years. I was looking for something else and came across it.

Think you'll find that's a fairly standard wing mirror as fitted to many cars over the years and is not Stag specific.

I'm just coming off what the website states.

(And let's be honest here, with wing/door mirrors of this type, even if they were originally "model specific", they would still fit other cars, unlike modern mirrors).

I had a pair on my Dolomite when I bought it, in addition to the door mirrors. It looked a bit stupid.

Back in the day those were an accessory mirror and you could buy heads and arms to 'mix and match' to get a variety of looks to suit your car. I remember them being in a yellow box - brand was TEX AIRC.

Those particular mirrors could be bought with a second set of extended arms for towing a caravan. It was quite neat - you unscrewed the arm at the base and substituted the longer arm complete with an attached mirror when you were towing. We had them on a series of Morris Oxfords back in the day.
