Condensation in Rear Light
Discussion
I have just noticed that my left rear light has condensation in it. Having searched previous threads it would appear this is a common fault and Aston Martin issued a technical service bulletin about drilling a hole in the case to allow the moisture to escape.
Does anyone have a copy of this bulletin or any words of wisdom to help me dry the light out and stop the happening again before the circuit board becomes damaged and a new light is needed.
Many thanks
Matt

The hole is drilled on the underside of the lamp. If you send me your email by PM, I will forward on the bulletin.
I would add though..........the hole is pretty large and you need a supply of DRY compressed air to blow into the hole to circulate the moisture until it comes out. You then need to seal the hole almost flush so it will allow re fitment of the lamp. When I had dried mine out, I then used the airline on a VERY LOW pressure to pressurize the lamp and detect where the seal was leaking. I then resealed it with silicon sealant.
I did mine and it has been fine for a while, until it gets cold and damp, and then its back again.
HOWEVER, I have the following advice that completely disagrees with the bulletin from Aston Martin by Valeo, one of the worlds largest suppliers and manufacturers of lights and lenses........

So, as they say, the choice is all yours!
