Simple point and shoot

My elderly (82 y/o) MIL has booked her 1st cruise.

Not very good with tech, but can work a dvd/pvr.

Any suggestions for a cheap and simple camera?
I was thinking of one of these.

Not much of a fan of cheap cameras because if she can operate that, she can operate any camera really.
Something like this gets great reviews and will offer her an 18x zoom and just better pictures.
