Hi,
I am considering buying a second hand M5. Does anyone know the car for sale in Dundee at £55,990?

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/b...

The spec looks pretty good but it has been for sale for a few months now. Is there something wrong with it? And what do people think about the price? For a 2013 car it seems about £3-5k overpriced, even considering the spec. Am I delusional?!
Thanks for your help

It looks a tad pricey but seems to have the CP pack which is over priced as an option but a nice to have.

I thought the Competition Pack might be nice to have too, although I have only driven a non-CP M5. Unfortunately there are no CP cars for sale anywhere near me to try. From the reviews I have read the CP cars have slightly more steering feel and a better exhaust note, but other differences are only really noticeable if driving at 11/10 on track. My thoughts on optional extras like the CP when buying second hand is that they might make the car more desirable to a customer to buy but should not inflate the price by the price of the option. Maybe that is why it hasn't sold. I think it has been advertised since about Oct/Nov. I was hoping the previous owner may be on here or someone may have been to have a look and could advise as to why they did not buy. Thanks

Seems very expensive. It`s only worth £42,000 - £45,000 trade in

I sold a few cars recently and trade normally bids around the middle prices. BMW's second hand at the minute are hard to shift as the new car deals are normally better on bmw finance/PCP and contract hire than having to finance a 12-24 months old bmw. This appears to having an effect on 2nd hand values

I traded my immaculate 2013 in yesterday (non CP) with 15k miles. Most prices I got quoted were in the £39-40k range for a trader cash purchase. The highest was just under £41k. Most dealers just don't want these cars. There are several dealer cars advertised in the £44-45k range. Anything over £50k is overpriced imo.

I have ordered a new Mercedes C class estate ( really wanted a C63!) so chose to part exchange. They already have a trade buyer lined up but it took some work for them to get a fair bid on the car.
