Carrera gen 2 rear lights condensation.

A tosser i know has just acquired a 2008 gen 2 911 carrera. (Haven't you Jim. ). It has condensation in both rear light units. Is this a known problem with these cars and is there any easy remedy?

Quite common. You can replace them both for about a grand.

I had it in my 997.2 too (off side). I have extended warranty but my OPC had to send detailed photos to Porsche to confirm it was covered. They got back to me in 24 hours and did replace under warranty. The service guy said he'd seen it before. So I'd say it is "not unheard of" (double-negative) rather than common!
