Just had two new rear tyres fitted and at the same time had the wheel alignment checked. Turns out a couple of the wheels are out so I need to get some shims so they can sort it out for me. Anyone know where I can surce them?

thanks

Any engineering fixings wholesaler should carry standard mild steel shims in various thou thickness'. You will need to know external diameter, hole diameter etc.

Have a look under "fixings and fasteners" in the yellow pages.....

Your local supermarket sells nice thin passivated steel sheet in convenient sizes, as an added bonus you get a portion of baked beans thrown in for good measure.

they will only fit the proper parts... also I haven't used a baked bean can on my car since I was 18 and patching up an old alfasud........(didn't fancy welding a plate right next to the fuel tank so just pop rivetted it right in!)

Would the main dealers stock them?
