Where should I take my E39 M5 for servicing and general maintenance in Kent? I'm based in Whitstable but mad happy to travel.

+1. Munich Legends changed the clutch on my M5 as well as replacing some bits of trim, all for reasonable cost. I'd happily recommend them.

Can't really help with advice on who to use for servicing but I'm just up the road from you in Herne Bay. I ran an E39 M5 for just over 4 years, great cars.

You could try Unit 5 Herne Bay on the industrial estate Whitstable bends Swalecliffe. They always used to be a BMW specialist. They renewed the vanos on an M3 Evo I once owned ( renewed before my ownership ).
The E39 M5 is quite easy to work on so most good garages should cope.

For basic oil service on my M5,engine,gearbox,diff oils I buy the parts and use a local garage to me that I trust just pay the labour .The last time I checked munich legends it was around £500 for a full inspection 2

If you fancy a little drive up to Dartford, go and see Martyn @ Scott's Performance. Does LOADS of M car work, and knows them inside out. Doesn't require the second mortgage that a trip to ML will wink

Mastertech Automotive in Ashford are very good. Looked after my SLK55 no problem!

Well worth considering if you are ringing around.

Thank you very much to everyone for their recommendations, even though it was one of the suggestions I have actually booked the car into ETA Motorsport at Brands Hatch, it's going in next Thursday so I'll let you know how I get on.
