buy on condition, from what i can see in the picture the paintwork does look superb by with no pics of chassis, and being honest and its hard to tell by a photo the engine bay does look abit grubby, I would at least polished the ali bits etc.

I have a 450 with 29000 miles 12 months mot new tyres for not a lot more than the 400 you are interested in, the car is immaculate

What are those things on the end of the exhaust pipe?

Nice colour, it's what I wanted but couldn't find at the time. Gives the impression of someone with enough of a budget to look after the car (clive f, mk3 headlights, ali dash) but lacking the time to make it bling. Everything looks tidy and looked after, but it's still all about the outriggers. If he's owned it for years and the chassis is solid it's a winner

Even if you imagine those shiny trims removed, the exhaust tailpipes seem to me to be too long and too low. Possible an aftermarket rear end?

I have seen that car a few times at our monthly TVR CC meeting. I have not had a look at the chassis, but it did appear to be a well looked after car. The colour is very nice, sort of a pearl yellow, and not quite as bright as the normal TVR yellow cars you see.

If I remember rightly the chap was trying to sell it to buy either a tamora or t350. Personally the fact that somebody is staying with TVR for their next car, I take as a positive as their experience of their current car must have been good.

Was the the car that was for sale on the tvr website? I couldn't see it without being a member.

The guy that's selling this yellow ones had it for about 2 years and selling it because he doesn't have time to use it.
I think the engine looks honest to me not tarted up, Its says its had a rebuild but on the bills I cant see piston of liners on it.
This was done before the current owner bought it.

Being sold by a dealer who does seem to be honest enough on the phone, While not as clean looking as the yellow one its cheap enough to be able to spend a few bob on getting it painted.
outriggers are supposed to be good but would have to check it over myself.
Shame both cars are so far away from me and each other so I,d not be able to see both in the same day.

I love the colour - but it was up for sale before Christmas.

I was interested, contacted the owner to arrange a visit to view but he was not free for the coming week or so. I then e-mailed and texted him numerous occasions to arrange a viewing but he never replied and he was supposed to want a quick sale. I gave up in the end a bought another yellow one.

I spoke to someone else regarding this and they were sure he had advertised it before as well.

I hope you have a better response.

Ask lots and lots of questions. Looks a nice car and advert reasonably well written but I have lived in the area of the seller for a long time and very few dealers along that stretch of road have a reasonable reputation let alone a good one.
