BMW M4 20" wheels
Discussion
I have never put aftermarket wheels on anything I've owned but the ferric grey wheels on my M4 look smaller and uglier every time I look at them. The rear 3/4 of the F80 M3 is less bulbous and the wheel looks ok but not on the M4 in my opinion. So looking at some 20" wheels but unsure whether I will destroy the driving experience or significantly alter the speedometer. Anyone done it yet? Or any advice?
I'd be very wary of putting 20"s on. I have a F30 335i with the M Performance 20"s and absolutely hate them!
Every bump or pothole makes me grimace, it feels like scuttle shake through the whole car when you hit one, far too low profile resulting in absolutely no protection if your wife likes kerbs! I've been messing around with different tyre pressures but still can't find one that gives me decent handling although the soggy suspension is probably the main cause of that.
Once the tyres get low I'm getting some aftermarket 19"s.
