How much for a wheel refurb these days....
Discussion
Just having my third set (not a TVR this time) done by Platinum Alloy Wheel Solutions in Swindon http://www.platinumwheelrefurb.com/. They do a proper job of chemically stripping, repairing where needed and powder coating. Takes 4 days but finish is amazing and price ~£70 per wheel so competitive with simply painting.

I guess if you are paying that out, you may as well wait till your tyres need doing too, and order some by post. Then you save £40 of the £240 for the tyre fitting, kill two birds with one stone, like.
Aye, I've been sitting on these beauties for years until the time is right to throw some rubber on them... not refurbed by the way, they were acquired in the big factory clearout when PW sold up:Englishman said:

Yes. They used to be part of Lepsons but became independent a few a years ago. I picked up the mini yesterday and they'd lost two of the alloy dust caps, but the wheels are great. Are these the people that were in Neil Garners open day last year?

This just reminded me...Remove your dust caps and wheel centres before you give them your wheels...
Good advice and yes, I did just that on previous occasions but in a rush when I dropped the car off last weekend .... Minor stuff but annoying just the same when it is their business.Gassing Station | Wedges | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
