Just wondering the above really? I've been told that all petrol C6 models have the same exhaust passage and mounting points. Is this correct?

Milltek list S6 as sharing some 4.2 components but all RS6 parts are different.

Audi list them all separately, no obviously shared parts.

It's possible some stuff fits but 'officially' they don't.

Just wanted to bump this, with particular reference to the C6 S6 and cat back exhausts that will fit it.

Seems to me that there's a very limited pathway for the exhaust to run, so unless the mounting points and/or flange locations are changed, other exhausts should(!) fit it?

S6 (note the back boxes are only really single exit!):

Really interesting. Do you have standard tips?

Standard exhaust - I actually really like the volume level: quiet when cruising, but a muted roar when pushing on.

I always tempted to tinker with the exhausts on my cars though - God knows why, but maybe with the turbo cars it was just easy obtainable power, to my mind.

the resonated/non resontated sections (before the rear boxes) are interchangeable between the c6 s6 and rs6 (I had my resonated sections out of a rs6 on my s6)

the front routing is different (at least as far as the cats) as you have to drop the exhaust to service the gearbox on the s6, whereas you do not on the rs6, and no idea on the back boxes.

Thanks, wouldn't that strongly suggest that the rear section (post resonator/non-resonator pipes) is the same on the RS6 and S6 too?

If you can swap the resonated sections easily, then the start of the rear section must be in the same position on both cars and as the routing for the exhaust from there back is limited, the rear should fit? The only other issue is the mounting point location?

yes but the ovals on the rs6 zorst wont clear the valance on the s6 iirc (at least so I was told by my local milltek dealer).

the ovals on the rs6 milltek can be swapped for twins (s6 style, so would fit the s6 valance) but the s6 twins are welded on and cant be easily swapped. cant say whether the back boxes themselves are swappable or not
