my car has been DMS'D!
Discussion
Have spent a very pleasant day with the lads down at DMS, and I have to say what they have done to the car is pretty remarkable results wise.
Had the Exhaust changed for 130 cell cats, and the ECU remapped, and it feels like a different car. the acceleration is absolutely devestating. on the way home I had wheelspin in 5th gear at about 95mph
It's also much nicer power delivery than previously, especially noticeable in 1st & 2nd gear, the boost comes in much more progressively than before, and the car pulls like wayne rooney in an OAP home. If i'm honest it's almost too quick, 0-silly just takes less time than it takes to think about what you are doing.
Rob reckons the car is now somewhere in the region of 580BHP, and i'm not inclined to disagree!. It also sounds superb - one of the cars biggest failings before.
One very happy customer

Sounds more like something that you launch, rather than drive
I thought my turbo cab was fast, but 580bhp must feel like having your kidneys removed.
I hope you manage to keep your liscence long enough to enjoy it !!
The temptation to feel the thrill of that massive acceleration, must be a hard one to supress.
Before you know it, your doing liscence losing speeds.
Enjoy.

What parts did they change or fiddle with to get to 580bhp?
Glad you enjoyed it.....
Guy
Hi Guy,Rob from DMS has been tinkering with my standard turbo, supposedly running at 580-590bhp.
They have changed the exhaust(130 cat),manifold,K24 turbo's and ECu remap.
The results are outstanding.......
Lee,
RE: cost, give Rob a call, it's not really for me to price his conversions. I would imagine results wouldn't be far off given you aready start with the K24 turbos. Noise wise I will have to wait and borrow a DB meter, I know Bedford are quite strict, I think it would pass the static test, not sure about drive by as a mate I went for a run with yesterday described it as "a cross between a lear jet and a WW2 mortar shell" at speed!.
Guy,
As per Rods reply really, remap and exhaust (ex the turbos). the mapping is superb, in 1st and 2nd gear it feels a lot less laggy than it was, boost comes in earlier, and runs to peak of about 1.2. Hope we get the chance to compare notes one day
