Is size important?

OK now I've got your attention,I've got my 8x15's delivered (bought over the phone, thank goodness you can trust JOC members more than some other people) and soon they'll be ready for the tyres. Before I rush out and buy a set, can I ask those of you with experience of running your Jago with 15's and 235/70 or bigger (265/70's) what problems,or better still, fun, you've had with them.God knows what diff is in the axle(I've only had the Jeep a few months)so I expect there'll be another headache? Matthew(my Son)found a pair of r/wheel arch extentions(all I had to do was pay for them)so that's the back end sorted. If I need front ones then I'll probably make some (Andy at Bellfield can get them via Chichester but they're around the £100 mark)
Also....can anyone tell me WHY, when I tackle one job on the Jeep it seems that another three or four crop up unexpectedly!!

Hi
Definitely the wheels for the plot- be the envy of your friends- you'll be fighting people off trying to buy them from you.
I run 235/75 x 15 Colway MT tyres with a 3.8 diff behind a 1700 crossflow with a Sierra 5spd box. 4th and 5th gears are for downhill following wind use only. Cruising with the wind behind you is very pleasant but don't expect to accelerate much. I have a 4.4 CWP set awaiting a round tuit.
Not sure my clutch is going to last the statutory 64k miles either- probably nearer 15k.
I fitted wheel arch extensions at the rear but extended the fronts myself- see Transmissions issue nn, article "A Bit on the Side".
Have fun !!!
Ian
PS tyres that size bring an awful lot of mud home...
