Just a few things after a few days searching.
Some great tools. But also some bugbears.
Firstly is the website is horrible on a mobile phone. Half the time it doesn't update properly and just locks up, dumps out all the extra details you added in on pressing 'back' and so on.
But on a desktop in a proper browser. Very nice.
Second issue, although more car sub-categories is nice, if car dealers and sellers still infest the categories with the wrong models it's annoying having to sift through random cars.
This wouldn't be so bad if you could isolate out the specific car using the other categories, but you can invariably only choose on sub-category.
Ie, if I want to choose a 4 door saloon or a 5 door touring E90 BMW, I can't tick 4 AND 5 door, and saloon AND estate body types. Just one from each sub-category, meaning no easy saved searches to check adverts.
This wouldn't be sooo bad, but added on top, people can still omit these details or add them incorrectly meaning cars you may be interested in are thus filtered out, leaving you checking all the sub-categories to see if there are hidden gems, or just trailing through ALL the models to make sure you miss none.
Wouldn't it be reasonable to be able to assign ticks to several boxes to refine searches properly?
And also perhaps a way to set advert alerts so the admin team at PH can amend as necessary... ie, having to trawl through all the FI BMW when specifically choosing NA BMW is a bit of a faff too.
Overall I like what the PH classifieds can do. But having all these filtering options if pointless if you still allow, and don't correct, people to make mistakes in their entries.
And also to fully unleash the power of the filtering by allowing multiple choices.
