Military section

Can we have the above page added. I served 4 years Royal Navy & 9 Years army. I think there must be a lot of serving and ex serving men and womwn on here.

Firstly, I am not PH staff, I just thought I'd offer my opinion.

There are plenty of Military forums and areas in which to post, I don't think PH needs to be one of them.

Boats, planes and trains covers alot of military hardware.

If you need somewhere to discuss your PTSD have a look in health matters.

Army rations = food and drink

Theres also already a camping section for when you are on a yomp over the moors or staying in a tent guarding an oil well in the middle east.

As said - plenty of other car forums I will go and post in.

Perhaps I should write a book about tents, caravans & motorhomes. Where could I post about that?

In the same vein ,why not an oldie driver section or a flat cap OAP section. My daughter and SIL would love to comment, as both were Squadies and last thing they, like a lot of the ex military ( like my old mate, in Green Howards who saw a lot more action than most peace time folks) want to chat about are the days of old.

there's very few threads on military stuff now, so until there is a significant number of threads over time then i can't see a forum being made when the lounge could be used right now.

the main reason being a MoD90 doesn't have the minimum data set that passports / driving licences / proof of age cards - mainly it doesn;t have a DoB on it and it's issued to 16 and 17 year olds (military foundation colleges, ?Welbeck, under 18s in 'adult' phase 1 / 2 )
