And of course why not?!

My excuse is being out with work last night and at 24 I struggle to do two nights on the trot now...

I've been out but returned early - I'm getting to be a lightweight!

Not skint - paid today!

Where do you work and what hours?

Also very tired... although i'm happily typing away at half eleven

And preparing a shed load of CV's ranks higher than getting drunk today... but only just

Training at a hospital in Blackburn.
Early shifts means being in blackburn for 715am and finishing at 4. Lates are 1215 til 9pm but you never get off on time! Luckily I have no nights yet!
I also have a 30 mins traveling time on top of that.
Getting up at 530am after only getting to bed after 11pm the night before isn't fun!
It's a post natal maternity ward so there's never a quiet moment really!!!

Are you a fellow job hunter? My advice - don't look towards Finance, the money and prospects may be good but the work is as dull as dishwater! You only live once and I want to look for something more worthwhile with some job satisfaction!

Aww babies = cute!

Couldn't witness one being born though!!

Balckburn - is that where you're from? I'm in Liverpool, just down the road. Sort of!

Don't envy your hours one bit but you must get a lot of satisfaction from what you do.

I commute from Preston, usually totally missing out on daylight at the moment!
The M65 has no lights either which I don't like! Lots of open parts too so not been fun in these winds!

Sooo know what you mean about the daylight! It's getting better but before Christmas I was in the depths of depression leaving home in the dark and arriving home that evening in the dark!

I'm discovering that my car doesn't like crosswinds! I want the nice weather so I can get the roof off for once.

How many days a week do you have to work those hours? You must be shattered.

Do 5 days a week on those hours and don't get paid for any of it. I then work sundays too in a pharmacy.

Are you finding that you're one of the older people out on a Friday night in pubs and bars?! It dawned on me the other night that I'm approaching the 'older than average' category! I think this comes with not being able to do two nights on the trot!

Not good!

Seriously? Do you have to do that or is it just advantageous to have it on your cv so to speak?

It's no wonder your skint if you have to do all that commuting at your own expense on the back of your student loan.

Do student Nurses get a monthly payment from the Government like trainee Teachers doing a PGCE do? I think they get £600 per month for the 10 months they train. That's what my ex got anyway.

I did feel like that last night - and i find myself thinking that these young girls in their little tiny slips of clothes, that if you were my daughter you wouldnt be allowed out looking like that- I am getting old as i used to be ones of those such girls not so long ago!! Oh help!

Know that feeling. I need 24 hours recovery if I over do it now....

He he, poor performance folks. I just got back from a nice meal and a few beers.
Won't be out tomorrow though, dreaded exams!
