Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a company in the Yorkshire / Midlands area that can re-trim a Cerbera drivers seat and roughly how much, also has anyone had their carpets replaced? I am just looking to have the passengers side done.
What price have you paid to have the front end sprayed to get rid of stonechips? Does anyone know of a reputable sprayer in the Yorkshire / Midlands area.

The only ones I know are in 'sprint' mag.

James, how much do you reckon it would cost to get the existing front seats ripped out and replaced with bucket style seats but matched with similar white/purple leather coloured styling and rather than a harness belt, one of those overhead bar things you can just drop down to lock you in? and any pointers to who could do such a job?

You'll get bucket/race fibreglass seats from Demon Tweeks etc for circa £200 each up to however much you want to spend, especially if you go for ultra lightweight ones. You could even have them made to measure. And I suppose retrimmed for anywhere between £250-500 each, depending upon how complex the seat is and the different patterns of leather you want. You'll then want something for either new runners or seat fixngs (£30-50) and something for somebody to fit then in for you.
Err..... then are you taking the piss? Do you mean you want a bar to drop down like on a faire ground ride?
I'd go with normal harnesses, either keeping the org. seat belts for road use; or perhaps harnesses with a lockable inertia reel for the shoulder bits, so that you can move around normally when road driving, but lock the shoulder belts for track day use. Harnesses start from £30 ish each plus fitting and mounting bolts etc, but the really nice ones with the nice buckles are hundreds.
Re fitting, I suppose I would use one of the service dealers who also races ie Topcats, Autotune, Moore in the south; TMS, CentralTVR in the midlands; Joospeed, RTRacing in the north etc.
Are you continuing the racer feel by having a removable steering wheel. If so I'd be interested in anybody you know who does such a conversion for the Cerbera wheel boss.

Bit by bit, I'll get it all done... all down to funding... the budget for the main performance work has already stepped waaaaaay over the original understanding....

I believe my engineers are looking into that one still... eventually will go for hub one-nut-hub conversions and big brakes too.... but in that department will be going down a complete kit from someone rather than spending money on custom fabrication....
Power first... the extra bits later, as and when really...
New bonnet with intake manifolds bump and venting will scratch the wallet a little, due to front end respray and lights upgrade, I really like the Tuscan 2 lights!
Someone said, I'd be better off with a simple colour job, due to track dirt etc causing havoc.... is it really that bad? Because the chamaeleon paint is not cheap by any means....

Shame but understandable, I really liked your car's colour.
Dont worry graham, I'm sticking with the chamaeleon paint job.... but if you know any methods out there that strengthen paint on glassfibre/carbon fibre (apart from amourfend) then do tell! I remember Mercedes had just designed a new type of primer that held up against chipping, so the paint electrostatically was applied and it took more than a pring for cracks to form etc... but thats on metal, so I guess its a different story altogether....

I think if somebody did a removeable Cerbera (and now Tuscan II) steering wheel bose, it would sell well. Good theft deterant. And the really good thing about chamaeleon paint is its really easy to paint it on and not get an obvious colour mis-match. It's just expensive to buy.

i was after fitting a pair of bucket seats in mine as im sick of hanging on to the gear leaver and pushing on the door then throwing my ass off each side of the seat as i go in to corners,like being on mi bike but without the speed.(id wrap my cheeks around it if it wasnt as wide as the world)
(its easy for the instructer & passingers to sey,use boath hands on the wheel)
dose any one know of any that will fit,including runners,they must tilt& recline.
then iff i get that far AUTO TRIM is going to totaly re trim her after ice install in leather& alacantara inc dash,(how i hate grey)for arround 2k as i havnt got time to do it myself
i wouldnt mind cutting the floor &lowering the seat or chopping the roof and putting a pair of sunroofs in it like the t 350s so my hat dosnt rub on the roof and get pushed over my eyes its hard to see when the seat is leand back enugh get in.

I had my doors and rear parcel shelf re-trimmed from the cloth to black leather and they did a fantastic job. Stitched in all the right places just as an original TVR job.
That was by a company in birmingham, can get you the company and number off the receipt when i get home if you want it.

It's not that difficult a job to do yourself if you are so inclined. Took about a day all in all, you just need a mother who knows how to sew
SXS, re. paint, etc. I've often considered having the car "lacquered" once the paint's all sorted. then you've only got to re-apply a bit of nail-varnish (well, maybe not nail varnish, but you get the idea), rather than have a whole panel resprayed.
Incidentally, here's my current paintwork japes:
* Car went in at the end of November to have the scuff sprayed out of the rear wing. It really was just a scuff. If it were metal, I'd have just T-Cut it, used a bit of coloured polish, and it'd have been sorted. But noooooo
* So, figured I'd have the rear spoiler fitted whilst it was in. And that meant spraying it.
* Oh, and the front spoiler too, for that matter
* But if I'm already faffing with the front end, I might as well get that crack on the hinge of the service bonnet sorted, right?
* And if that's being done, I might as well have it resprayed
* And the cheesegrater to match, as that ALWAYS takes the brunt of the stone chips
* And the wings around it, so as not to look out of place, of course
* The main bonnet of the Tusc always takes a couple of the stones, too, at the front, so best to be safe and have that sprayed
* Now, there's a bit of a scratch from some bush or other clipping the nearside door, so I might as well have that taken care of if I'm being picky whilst it's in. And to make it a matching pair, the driver's door doesn't take much longer
* Then I remembered that taking the roof on & off all the time has lead to a couple of tiny chips on the catch at the front. It only needs a bit of paint left over to take care of that... and there's no point doing a job by halfs and failing to paint the WHOLE panel
* And with all THAT done, it only leaves the boot, which was feeling particularly hard done to... so a quick splash of Zenith blue cheered that up, too
Oh Hell... my "it'll polish out" 3 inch scratch has just landed me with the ENTIRE car getting resprayed. Every. Last. Inch.
Can't wait to get it back on Friday.

Never did get a mail, did you send one? Been having a 'mare with email for the
last week, so it could be my end of things?
Same colour, as the insurance company is picking up nearly all of the tab. And it really, really didn't start out being that much of the car that was going to get painted! Hoping that "new car look" will mean I'll love the colour that bit more...
