I've only had my E90 325D M Sport for a week and I've encountered the following errors.

Yesterday there was a dong whilst driving and the dashboard lit up, then idrive had the following error "brake and drive control system failure, reduced braking and driving stability, avoid hard braking go to dealer etc etc"
That was instantly followed by the "flat tyre monitor system failure" states that it's unable to monitor the tyre pressures.

Now the error went out, but then came back and it's been on and off since. Using an OBD Bluetooth reader with Torque for android, does not show any fault codes.

The car is under 12 month warranty, but I'd like an idea of what the issue is first.

Any ideas?

This search result came back for an M5, but it seems a few different people had the same error, with different reasons

How old is the battery and what sort of voltage is it giving?

Low batteries can give random error codes/issues

Batteries can throw up warnings like this but if it's been intermittent then most likely (and hopefully) be a dodgy wheel speed sensor*..

I say hopefully as the abs unit is known to go on these too, £30 fix vs £300 fix! You'll probably need slightly more advanced diagnostics on this car to find out what.

  • or abs sensor, measure all wheel speeds which controls dsc, abs, flat tyre monitor etc.
Just drive like you've no stability controls till you can get it sorted.

Cheers for the advice. Came on this morning when it was raining out, then went off. Didn't come back on again, but it's been dry.

So far has only come on in the wet/damp

Hi

I've had the exact same set of warning lights come up on my car last week. I taken it to my mechanic and he replaced the battery as I had a warning light twice in the previous week while sitting listening to the radio while the engine was off.

All was find until a few days later when I was driving at 70/75 and the lights came on again. They then want off after 5 minutes. Then this morning when starting the car they have some on again.

Did you manage to get yours fixed, if so what was the issue?

Thanks

Ciaran

Looks like I new a new ABS pump module - price from BMW is apparently £2k but ECU Testing do a repair service for around £250 so all in should cost £500 including labour.

The fact that it cannot sense tyre pressure also would, indicate to me a dirty or fubar abs sensor.
