QH Water Pump for 2.9V6 EFI

I have just bought a water pump for my S2 from a local motor factors. I opened it in the shop to check its contents and realised then that it wasn't the right one. It doesn't have any place to mount the thermostat or its housing. The part number on the box is QCP 2672 which is correct according to the QH web catalogue.

The parts list doesn't include any water pumps so I was wondering if anyone here could help? Is it possible that the pump has been packaged incorrectly?

I fitted a new water pump (QCP 2672)to my S1.5 with the 2.9 EFI engine and the thermostat housing wasnt mounted on the water pump but on the main engine block. If I can find my digital camer Ill take a picture and mail it to you.

According to the alternative parts list the pump
is motaquip VWP 426 if that helps

Sorry, I am being stupid!

Took a look at the one on my S2 and its the same as the QH one I bought.

I think I must have spent too long looking at the illustration in the Ford Granada Haynes Manual which shows the thermostat housing mounted on the water pump!
